Improving Communication
Communicating is a skill that each of us uses daily. Fact is we spend more time communicating than doing almost anything else. Be it at home with our families or at work, we take it for granted. All too often we hear someone say, "What we have here is a communication problem". To improve something we must understand it. This class will allow us to see what communication is, how it affects us and how each of us can improve our personal communication skills.

American Collective Bargaining
This is a program for high school students based on the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service program to promote sound and stable labor-management relations. In today’s highly competitive global economy, there is a growing need for more cooperative, less antagonistic relations between management and workers. The skills developed in this workshop carry on into the job readiness of young workers and offer them added tools and choices for conflict resolution strategies when the need arises.

Of Course You’re Angry
Called “A Workshop for Really Really Nice Men and Women”. Sometimes we don’t know what is contributing to our feelings of frustration, depression, or powerlessness. This workshop gives helpful information about the personality vs. personality disorders, birth order, learned behaviors, and healthy anger. By connecting with skills to interpret our perceptions we can put emotional communication to work to achieve our goals.

Cultural Arts and Character Education
Children learn values by way of stories, songs and interactive activities from the Native American “Four Arrows” way. These values include anti-bullying, respect, responsibility, and taking time to make the right decisions. This is a five session program for one class of students (up to 35) where two visiting artists collaborate and work with students, culminating in an assembly performed by the students and the artists for parents and the school.
